Vicki Beck: I am an Advantage Home Care service coordinator here in Colombia and a pilot office in Jefferson City. I started working as an infield Aide, progressed to part-time file clerk, and then just progressed into my current position which is service coordinator here in the Columbia office.
To be successful in this field of work you have to have a big heart and you have to be caring. We span from basic chores to respite care. So we have to be knowledgeable of our clients and their needs. We love our clients here at Advantage Home Care. That’s the main goal for me, personally, that’s why I started in this business. Because I do care about people and I want to make sure that they can grow old gracefully so to speak in their own element (in their own home).
To work here you’ve got to understand that people need people. And it’s not always about the money. So I look for that when I hire people.
I have worked with other agencies in the past. Sometimes they don’t quite put the client first, it’s more about the budget. Advantage Home Care always is above and beyond what a normal provider would do.
